Invalid Link Error: Copy the Right Link
An invalid link error means TapKlip cannot find a supported post link in the text you pasted. Use the complete address of an individual post, rather than a profile, search result, or feed.
Invalid link error: what it means
TapKlip shows We can't read this link with the code invalid_url when it cannot recognise a link to a single supported post. The address needs to lead to the post itself—not a profile, search result, or feed.
This message is about the link you entered. It does not tell you whether the content is public, private, or still available. Start by checking the address for the common problems below.
Check these common link problems
- Part of the address was left out when copying.
- You pasted a caption without a link, or a link to a different post.
- The link opens a profile, hashtag, sound page, search, or Explore page rather than one post.
- The link points to a type of content TapKlip does not support.
- Extra characters, spaces, or a line break have split the address.
Copy a fresh link and try again
- Open the individual public video, Reel, photo post, post with multiple photos, or pin you want to save.
- Choose Share, then Copy link. Look under the paper-plane icon or three-dot menu if the option is not shown directly.
- Return to TapKlip and paste the complete link into the link box.
- Check that the address starts with
https://and has no missing characters or spaces in the middle. - Select Download to try again.
Using a browser? You can get the link from the address bar while viewing the individual post. TapKlip also accepts supported short links, including vt.tiktok.com, fb.watch, and pin.it.

Frequently asked questions
What does the invalid link error mean?
It means TapKlip cannot recognise a supported post link in the text you pasted. Open the post, choose Share, then Copy link, and try the complete address again.
Can I paste the whole share text?
Yes. TapKlip finds the first link in the share text you paste, so make sure that link points to the individual post you want to download.
Can I use a profile link?
No. TapKlip needs a link to an individual supported post, such as a video, Reel, photo post, carousel, or pin—not a profile page or feed.
Does a valid link mean the content can be downloaded?
No. A complete link does not guarantee a download. TapKlip supports public content only, so private or deleted posts and content that requires a login cannot be downloaded.
