Instagram Reels Downloader
TapKlip saves public Instagram Reels directly to your device. Use an individual Reel link to get the available video, whether you’re on your phone or computer. Files come straight from Instagram, and TapKlip does not store them.
Instagram Reels downloader: save a public Reel
Got a public Reel you want to save? Start with its individual link, rather than the account’s profile. Here’s how to download it with TapKlip.
- Open the Reel in Instagram, open its Share menu, and choose Copy link.
- Paste the link into the box on TapKlip and select Download.
- Choose the available video to save it to your device.
Using Android? The device guides below also cover a direct route through Instagram’s Share menu.
Saving something other than a Reel? Use the Instagram downloader for public video posts, photos, and posts containing several photos.
Which Instagram links can you use?
One box handles links from four platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest. TapKlip recognizes the platform automatically. For Instagram Reels, use the link to the individual video rather than an account profile.
- Reel links: usually contain
instagram.com/reel/and take you to an individual Reel. - Post links: usually contain
instagram.com/p/and can lead to a video, photo, or carousel.
If someone sends you a Reel in a message, open the Reel itself to find its link in the Share menu. On a computer, the address bar shows the link when you’re viewing the individual Reel.
What to expect from your download
Your download uses the video Instagram makes available for that public Reel. TapKlip saves the available file as supplied by Instagram, so the download options depend on the original video.
- Free, no sign-up, no pop-ups: get your video without creating an account or dealing with redirect ads.
- Video availability: the download choices reflect what Instagram provides for the individual Reel.
- A focused page: the link box and download options stay easy to find, without unnecessary menus.
- Public content only: private, deleted, or login-required Reels cannot be downloaded.
Having trouble downloading a Reel?
If a Reel will not download, check the link and whether the video is still public. A Reel that plays inside your signed-in Instagram account is not always available outside it. Use the checks below to find the next step.
- Incomplete or incorrect link: use the individual Reel link, not a profile or audio-page link. See help with invalid links for what to check.
- Private or deleted content: TapKlip cannot download it, even if you can view a private account while signed in. Read about private or deleted content.
- Login required: content that requires an Instagram login is not available through TapKlip. See login-required help for more details.
- Video opens instead of saving: follow the guide for videos that open in a new tab to save the file from your browser.
