Download Instagram Videos on Android
TapKlip helps you save public Instagram videos and Reels on Android, along with photos and individual items from posts containing several photos or videos. Use your browser or install TapKlip for access through the Android Share menu.
Download Instagram videos on Android
Save public Instagram videos, Reels, photos, and posts containing several photos or videos with TapKlip—free, no sign-up, no pop-ups. It works in your Android browser, with an optional installation for access through the Share menu.
- Use an Android phone with a browser such as Chrome.
- Choose a link to a public Instagram post or Reel, rather than a profile.
- Keep using your browser if you prefer; installing TapKlip is optional.
- Private or deleted content, and content requiring login, cannot be downloaded.
Save your Instagram video in five steps
- Copy the Instagram link. Open the post or Reel, tap the paper-plane icon or three-dot menu, and look for Copy link. The menu location depends on your Instagram version.
- Open TapKlip. Go to the Instagram downloader in your browser. For Reels, you can also use the Instagram Reels downloader.
- Paste the link. Press and hold the link box, then choose Paste. TapKlip recognises the Instagram link automatically.
- Choose your file. Tap Download, then select the video, photo, or carousel item you want to save.
- Find your download. Files usually go to your phone’s Download folder, depending on your browser settings. Check your browser’s downloads list or your file manager.
Files come directly from the original platform, and TapKlip does not store them. For posts with several items, choose the photos or videos you want to keep.
Find your files or fix a download
A completed download does not always appear in your gallery straight away. Start with your browser’s downloads list to check that the file finished saving, then open it from there or use your file manager.
- Open Files by Google, My Files, or your phone’s file manager. Android downloads usually go to the Download folder; the location depends on your browser settings.
- For a carousel, check which photos or videos finished downloading before selecting any missing items again.
- If the video opens instead of downloading, follow the video opens in a new tab guide.
- If TapKlip cannot recognise the link, get a fresh link from the post or Reel. See the invalid link guide for more help.
- If the content is unavailable, check that the post is still public and visible on Instagram. Read the private or deleted content guide.
- If Instagram asks you to log in to view the content, see the login required guide for an explanation.
Use TapKlip from the Android Share menu
Prefer to send links straight from Instagram? Install TapKlip on Android to add it to your Share menu. This gives you another way to open a post in TapKlip without switching to your browser first.
- Open TapKlip in Chrome and use the browser menu to install it. Follow the installation prompts.
- Open a public Instagram post or Reel and open its sharing options.
- Choose TapKlip from the Android Share menu. If it is not listed, tap More to see the other apps.
- In TapKlip, select the file you want to save.
For browser access, keep the TapKlip Instagram downloader bookmarked so it is easy to find when you want to save another post.
