Download Facebook videos in three steps
Found a Facebook video you want to keep? TapKlip works in your browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. Start with the video you want to save.
- Open the video on Facebook. Choose Share, then Copy link.
- Paste the video link into the box at the top of this page.
- Select Download, then choose the available file you want to save.
Use the link for the individual video, even when you find it on a page or in a group. This helps TapKlip find the right post rather than the page around it.

Use a link to a public Facebook video
TapKlip supports public Facebook videos and Reels. The link needs to lead directly to the video, rather than a Facebook page, profile, or group.
- Public videos: use the individual video’s link, not the address of the page that posted it.
- Public Reels: use the Reel’s own link rather than a profile or Reels feed.
- Private or deleted content: TapKlip cannot download it.
- Content requiring login: TapKlip cannot access it.
If a link is not recognised, check that it opens the intended video and follow the invalid link checklist.
Files come straight from Facebook
TapKlip gets files directly from the original platform and does not store them. The download choices depend on the files available for that public Facebook video or Reel.
A straightforward way to save
- Free, no sign-up, no pop-ups: no account to create and no redirect ads.
- Clear download choices: choose from the files available for your video.
- Easy on mobile: use a simple page designed for everyday browsing.
One box for four platforms
TapKlip recognises links from Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest. For supported public content from the other platforms, visit the TikTok downloader, Instagram downloader, or Pinterest downloader.
Trouble downloading a Facebook video?
Check that your link opens the video you want and that the post is still public and available. Then use the guide below that matches what you see.
- The link is not recognised: make sure it points to a video or Reel, not a page or profile. See how to fix an invalid link.
- The video requires login: a video you can watch while signed in is not always publicly accessible. Read the login-required guide.
- The video is private or deleted: it is not available for download through TapKlip. Learn more about private or deleted content.
- The video plays in a new tab: follow the steps for saving a video that opens in a new tab.
