Private or Deleted Content: What to Do
TapKlip downloads public content only, so private or deleted posts cannot be downloaded. If you see this message, check whether the post opens in a private browser window without signing in. If it does, try a fresh link.
Private or deleted content: what the message means
TapKlip shows This content isn't available with the code private_or_deleted when it cannot open the post as public content. This message alone does not mean the post has been deleted.
Private accounts, posts shared with a limited audience, and removed posts all trigger this message. Being able to view a post through your own account does not make it public. TapKlip does not use your login to access content.
Why the post is unavailable
- The account is private, so only approved followers can view its posts.
- The post is shared only with friends or members of a private Facebook group.
- The owner deleted or archived the post, or the platform removed it.
- The owner changed who can see the post after you copied the link.
Check the post, then try a fresh link
- Open the post's link in a private or incognito browser window. Stay signed out of the platform.
- Check whether you can view the post without signing in. If it is unavailable or asks you to log in, TapKlip cannot download it.
- If you know the owner, ask them to make the post public or send you the file directly.
- If the post opens without signing in, use its Share menu to select Copy link.
- Return to TapKlip, paste the fresh link, and try downloading again.
- If the public post still cannot be downloaded, send its link through the contact page so we can look into it.
For a message that specifically asks you to sign in, see the login-required guide. For an incomplete link, follow the invalid-link guide.
Check that your link points to a single post
The link should lead to the post itself, not a profile, feed, or search results page. Compare it with the examples below. A complete link helps TapKlip find the right post, but it cannot unlock private content.
