Download Pinterest videos from the app

TapKlip is free, with no sign-up and no pop-ups. To save a public Pinterest video or image, start with the link to the individual pin.

1. Open a video pin in the Pinterest app.
2. Tap the Share icon, then Copy link.
3. Open the TapKlip Pinterest downloader in your browser and paste the link into the box.
4. Select Download to see the available file.
5. Choose the video download option and save the file to your device.

On Android, you can also install TapKlip to access it from the Share menu. Installation is optional; the browser works without an app.

Download from Pinterest on the web

1. Open Pinterest in your browser and find the video you want.
2. Select the individual pin so it opens on its own page.
3. Use the pin's address from the address bar for the download steps above.
4. Keep TapKlip open in another tab so you can return to Pinterest when you need it.

Which Pinterest link should you copy?

Pinterest links come in two common forms: a short pin.it link from the app's Share menu, or the full pin address shown in your browser. Both should point to one specific pin.

If a short link is not recognised, open it in your browser and use the full address of the pin it leads to. Check that the pin is public and still available.

Save Pinterest videos or images

TapKlip supports public Pinterest videos and images. The options shown for each pin depend on what it contains, so check the file type before saving.

• Video pin: choose the available video file.
• Image pin: choose the available image file.

What determines the file quality?

TapKlip downloads files directly from Pinterest. The file available there determines the format and picture quality, so different pins can have different download options.

TapKlip does not store the files you download.

Find your downloaded Pinterest file

• Android: downloads usually go to the Download folder. Check your Files app or open the download notification in your browser.
• iPhone: downloads usually go to the Files app, in the Downloads folder. The location depends on your browser settings.
• Laptop or PC: check your browser's downloads list or the download folder selected in its settings.

What to check if a download does not work

• Check the link: make sure it opens the individual pin you want. For help with an unrecognised address, see invalid links.
• Check that the pin is public: TapKlip cannot download private or deleted content. See private or deleted content.
• Check for a login requirement: TapKlip cannot download content that requires login. See login-required content.
• Check the pin itself: confirm that it contains the video or image you want, rather than only a link to another page.

Once you've checked the pin, return to the TapKlip Pinterest downloader to save the available video or image.
