Download TikTok audio in three steps

MP3 or M4A: know what you’re saving

TapKlip saves original audio (MP3 or M4A, depending on the source). It keeps the format TikTok provides and does not convert M4A files to MP3. The audio option shows which file you can download.

Check the format before saving if you plan to use the audio in an app that accepts only MP3. Renaming an M4A file to end in .mp3 does not turn it into an MP3 file.

Files come straight from TikTok

Your audio downloads directly from the original platform. TapKlip does not store the files you download, so keep the saved file on your device for later listening.

Use a public TikTok video link

Use a link to the video containing the sound you want, not the creator’s profile or the sound’s own page. The video must be available to watch without signing in.

• TikTok’s short video links can begin with vt.tiktok.com or vm.tiktok.com.
• Full video links include the creator’s name and a video address, such as tiktok.com/@user/video/….
• Check that the link opens the exact post you want, rather than a profile or a list of videos.

Save TikTok audio on your phone

Android: share to TapKlip

Use TapKlip in your Android browser, or install it to open it from TikTok’s Share menu. Saved audio usually goes to the Download folder. See the Android TikTok download guide for help with your phone, then choose audio instead of video.

iPhone: find your saved audio

Start by opening the video link in your browser. Check that it leads to the right post and that the video plays without a login. Then match the problem to the guidance below.

• Incomplete or incorrect link: use the full video link, not a profile or sound-page link. See the invalid-link guide for help checking the address.
• Private or deleted post: TapKlip cannot download content that is no longer publicly available. Read about private or deleted content.
• Login required: posts that ask you to sign in are not available through TapKlip. See the login-required guide.
• No audio option: not every post includes a separate audio file. Check the download options shown for your link; TapKlip offers the files TikTok provides.
